BAD GIRLS ~ THEN & NOW

BAD GIRLS ~ THEN & NOW
This lesson is designed to help students gain a better understanding of biblical stories and mankind’s long term struggle with evil.

Skit I
(You will need a white board and marker.) Male student comes in dressed as a scientist. (Possibly wearing a white coat, glasses and using a pointer.)
Scientist: (Addressing the students in a serious yet excited tone) A new chemical element has recently been discovered. Here for the first time is a description of the properties.
(Scientist then writes the following on the white board.)
Element Name: WOMAN
Symbol: WO
Atomic Weight: #@!!#&#
(The Scientist then shares the following with the class)
Scientist: The Physical Properties of this new element are: generally curved in form. It boils at nothing… yet may freeze at any time. However it melts whenever treated properly. But is very bitter if not used well.
The Chemical Properties of this new element are showing that it is: very active and highly unstable. Strangely enough, this new element possesses a strong affinity to gold, silver, platinum and precious stones. We must use caution with this new element because it has been known to become violent when left alone. Placing this element next to a better specimen will many times cause it to turn green in color.
Uses for this new element are varied. It is highly ornamental yet is a good catalyst for the dispersion of wealth. It may well be the most powerful income reducing agent known to man.
Caution is advised due to the fact that this element has been known to become highly explosive in inexperienced hands.
Scientist: There will be a review of these findings at the end of this class. Students are advised to listen carefully. If your findings are different than this highly scientific discovery, you may take your differences to God who is the creator of the recently outlined element. Thank you.
(Scientist then erases the board and walks out of the room)

How are women/ girls bad today?
Vanity?
Where in the bible do you find that it’s important to have a tanned perfectly toned body?
Is vanity a sin?
Is preoccupation with our bodies a sin?
Is the way we dress a sin if it causes others to sin?
When we worship our bodies and give more attention to them than we do to God…then we fall into sin

CCC
324 The fact that God permits physical and even moral evil is a mystery that God illuminates by his Son Jesus Christ who died and rose to vanquish evil. Faith gives us the certainty that God would not permit an evil if he did not cause a good to come from that very evil, by ways that we shall fully know only in eternal life.

1759 "An evil action cannot be justified by reference to a good intention" (cf. St. Thomas Aquinas, Dec. praec. 6). The end does not justify the means.
1760 A morally good act requires the goodness of its object, of its end, and of its circumstances together.
1761 There are concrete acts that it is always wrong to choose, because their choice entails a disorder of the will, i.e., a moral evil. One may not do evil so that good may result from it.
